Information about performance-based navigation (PBN)

As from 25-04-2021 the IR-PBN is required. During the implementation we mentioned the PBN privileges on your licence once you completed the PBN requirements. If you have completed the PBN requirements you will have an IR rating which is valid after 25-04-2021 (except type ratings based on an ICAO licence). Therefore, the PBN won’t be mentioned on your licence as from 25-04-2021. After 25 April 2021 an IR can only be issued, revalidated or renewed including PBN.

In case of an initial issue/revalidation/renewal, it must be verified that you completed an approved PBN-difference course at an ATO or if you already possess an IR with a PBN-remark.

Exemption measures due to coronavirus

The Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) has used this model and issued a general exemption with reference ILT-2020/59924. More information is given on the website of the Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate.
